Experiences Shared by Kinwell Families

Siriporn P.

Suthep, Chiang Mai

"We came to the Calm Conversation Workshop not quite knowing what to expect. The tools were simple enough to actually use at home — not abstract theories but real, practical things you can try the same evening. We have used the listening technique at least three times since."

Nimmanhaemin, Chiang Mai

"The Paperwork Sorting Session took longer than I thought — about four hours with our stack of documents — but the coordinator was methodical and calm throughout. By the end we had a filing system that actually made sense. Worth every baht."

San Sai, Chiang Mai

"We signed up for the Steady Plan after the sorting session because we realised we needed ongoing help to keep things in order. The monthly check-ins are short and focused, and the templates have been really useful. It feels like a small investment for a lot of peace of mind."

Hang Dong, Chiang Mai

"I appreciated that the facilitator was very clear about what the workshop does and does not cover. There was no blurring of lines. We got what we came for — a better way to have household conversations — without being pushed toward anything else."

Anong C.

Doi Saket, Chiang Mai

"The document sorting took us longer than the estimated time because we had a lot more paperwork than we expected — but Nattawut was patient and stayed until we had a working system. The written summary afterwards was a nice touch."

Richard B.

Old City, Chiang Mai

"My wife and I were a little sceptical about whether a two-and-a-half-hour workshop could actually change how we talk about household matters. It did not do anything dramatic, but we did come away with two or three concrete habits that we still use three months later."

Case Studies

Household Stories

Three examples of how families have used Kinwell's sessions. Names and details are representative, not identifying.

Challenge

A household with two adults and teenage children had been struggling to discuss shared financial arrangements in a way that felt calm and equal. Topics were frequently deferred because the conversations became tense.

Session Attended

The family attended the Calm Conversation Workshop. During the session, they worked through two listening frameworks and practised using a structured conversation format with a neutral topic before applying it to a shared household one.

Outcome

In post-session feedback, the family noted that they had held two structured household discussions in the following month without the conversation breaking down. They described the reference card as something they genuinely used.

"Having a format to follow made it easier to get into the topic without it immediately becoming an argument. Simple but effective." — Household A, Chiang Mai

Timeline: single 2.5-hour session · Follow-up: 4 weeks

Challenge

A recently relocated couple had accumulated several years of mixed paperwork — contracts, receipts, insurance documents, utility records — stored in several boxes without any consistent system. Neither person knew exactly what they held.

Session Attended

They booked a Paperwork Sorting Session. Over four hours, all documents were spread out, categorised into eight household-relevant groups, labelled consistently, and placed into a filing system the couple had chosen in advance.

Outcome

At the end of the session, both individuals said they knew where all key documents were for the first time since their move. They subsequently joined the Steady Plan to maintain the system with monthly check-ins.

"We went from three boxes of mystery to one clear filing cabinet. I cannot quite explain how much mental weight that lifted." — Household B, Chiang Mai
