Built Around the Idea That Families Deserve Simple, Honest Support
Kinwell began as a small project in Chiang Mai with one purpose: giving households access to clear, general information and practical organisational skills — without pressure or assumption.
← Back to HomeHow Kinwell Came Together
Kinwell grew out of a recognition that many households in Northern Thailand were navigating shared administrative and communication challenges without any general resources to draw on. Families often knew roughly what they needed to do — gather documents, have a conversation, put things in order — but had nowhere to turn for calm, straightforward guidance.
We opened our doors in Suthep, Chiang Mai in early 2022 with two session formats and a simple belief: that preparing a household should feel manageable, not overwhelming. Since then, we have worked with families from across the Chiang Mai valley, offering workshops and document sessions that are entirely educational in nature.
Nothing we do is intended as professional advice. We are educators and organisers. Our role is to share practical skills, offer structured information, and help families put their paperwork in better order — at their own pace, on their own terms.

What Guides Our Work
Calm Over Speed
We do not rush. Each family moves through their session at the pace that feels right. There are no timelines to meet and no decisions to make on the spot.
Honest About Our Scope
We are clear that everything we share is general. We do not advise on personal circumstances, and we encourage families to seek qualified specialists for individual needs.
Respectful of Every Household
Families come in many forms. We approach every session without assumptions about what a household looks like or what path they are on.
Quiet Discretion
Households share sensitive information when they come to us. We treat that information with care and do not discuss one family's situation with any other.
Our Small, Steady Team
We are a small group of educators and administrators who share a genuine interest in making household processes feel more manageable.
Pichaya Kanjana
Founding Director
Pichaya developed the original workshop format after years working in adult education and community support programmes around Chiang Mai.
Nattawut Thongsri
Document Organising Coordinator
Nattawut leads the Paperwork Sorting sessions and has designed the labelling and filing system used across all Kinwell engagements.
Siriwan Rattana
Family Support Facilitator
Siriwan facilitates the Calm Conversation Workshop and maintains the general guide library available to Steady Plan subscribers.
How We Keep Our Standards High
Educational Rigour
Workshop content is reviewed regularly to ensure it reflects current general understanding. We do not make claims beyond the educational scope.
Data Privacy
All contact and session data is stored securely and handled in line with applicable Thai privacy standards. We do not sell or share personal information.
Feedback-Driven
We ask families for written feedback after every session and use that input to refine materials, timing, and facilitation style on an ongoing basis.
Scope Transparency
At every session we state clearly what we do and do not offer. Families are encouraged to seek relevant specialists for personal decisions.
Document Handling Care
During Paperwork Sorting sessions, documents are handled with care and returned in full at the end of each session. We do not retain copies of personal documents.
Referral Culture
Where a family's needs go beyond our scope, we provide general pointers toward appropriate professional or community resources in the Chiang Mai area.
Family Process Education in Northern Thailand
Family process education is a broad field that encompasses skills-based learning for households navigating shared administrative, communicative, and organisational tasks. It draws from adult education practice, document management disciplines, and facilitated group communication — without crossing into the domain of personal advice or individual case management.
In Chiang Mai, where many households include members from different cultural or administrative backgrounds, having access to clear general information can make a meaningful difference to how prepared a family feels. Kinwell's sessions are designed with this everyday reality in mind — practical, calm, and grounded in the Northern Thai context.
Our document support work focuses on the administrative side: helping families understand what kinds of records they tend to hold, how to organise them effectively, and how to maintain a filing system that is easy to navigate over time. No document is assessed for legal or financial significance — that falls outside our scope. What we do is help families see what they have and put it in better order.
The Calm Conversation Workshop draws on general communication frameworks that have been used in adult education settings for many years. Participants learn listening structures, framing approaches, and techniques for holding productive household discussions on shared topics. The workshop is not mediation, counselling, or negotiation facilitation — it is skills education, plain and simple.
